I got an e-mail from my cousin, Elise, asking if I wanted to join a virtual quilting bee. So naturally never wanting to do anything on my own, I asked my sister to do it with me. She didn't really want to because she was about to pop with baby Elle. I told her "whatever, you can do it, and if you can't, I will help you with your squares". She agreed and now we are doing a quilting bee. Our team is The Newbees, and there are 12 of us doing it. Basically, one person gets their month that they send out their own fabric to the other 11 people, and we make whatever that person wants us to make with the fabric. It is an amazing experience so far because I have made 3 squares that I have never made before. I will update again on this with pictures. June is my month, scary...

Ok, pretty sure YOU helped me with the quilt more than I helped you! You were the one who taught me how to get a scant quarter inch seam--can't believe I didn't know that before. And you walked me through machine quilting the squares. So there...! ;)
Your quilt looks AHmazing--first quilt or not. I hope to finish mine this week and post about it next.
Okay. How do you have time for all of this????
Looks SO good! How big is it finished?
I am excited to make your block! When I saw your example, I was like, Wow. That looks SO hard. And then I read the tutorial & it is easy!
Trish - Yea, but you were the one that got me doing it, so thank you.
Rae - It is amazing how much time you have if you really want to do something. Lots of time working on it while Emma was asleep. Also, we had the snow days that really helped me get a lot done.
Elise - The quilt is 5 ft x 6 ft. It is perfect and great to snuggle up against.
