Angela and me before the race.
Jumping over fire obstacle. My husband the bad ass!
Angela and I with her friend Kristen after we finished the race.
Chaz and I after we finished the race.
My goal for this race was to finish, and that I did. Chaz decided that he was going to go for it and finish as fast as he could. He finished in 29 minutes and 24 seconds. I didn't do as well, but I decided that I wanted to stay with Angela just in case either one of us got stuck. I finished in 45 minutes and 16 seconds. The course was 3.24 miles of uneven torrain and 14 obstacle courses. Click here to see the course. All of the obstacles were a lot easier than I had expected which was good. The only part that made things difficult was that the first obstacle was wading through water. From that point on we were soaked and our shoes were caked with mud. Hopefully when we do it again I will have a much better time. It was the funnest race that I have ever done, and I would love to do it again with more people that we know. If you have a chance to participate in a race like this, go for it!

Way to go Brooke! I hear these races are tons of fun. I need to do one sometime.
Two Words: Hard Core.
I wanted to do a 10K Mud Run (not as intense as this), but it literally sold out in an hour. Next year. Also, you look great - I would kill for your abs. Mine are still baby flabby. Ugh. Time for sit ups.
Dang Gina you look hot! I definitely want to do this with you in the fall--though I somehow doubt my abs will ever be like that! I could paint them on...? ;)
You guys rock--seriously looks like a lot of fun!
you and Chaz are seriously like Mr. and Mrs. America :) Sounds like a fun race!!
You shut your mouth with those abs! (said as I eat a cookie!) What an inspiration. I was wanting to run a 10K this last weekend but I can't seem to stop getting myself knocked up! Maybe next year. You go girl!
